True Blood Season 3 Clip [Dec. 24th, 2009|06:33 pm]

ohnotheydidnt

[tictaac]
This is an extremely short clip, but even so, it sure wets the appetite. From the HBO 2009 promo and what is to come for 2010. You see a quick clip of Sookie running out of the French Restaurant and then you see Bill shirtless with a bloody cut on his arm.

SOURCE

Apparently, there are more TB scenes in the 2010 HBO promo, so I'm sure another few clips will leak.

Rihanna's had a lot to overcome this year, and she's ending 2009 in a very liberating way: With a candid interview and nearly-nude photo spread in GQ Magazine. In the interview, Rihanna openly discusses how she coped with life and fame in the days and months after Chris Brown beat her, saying "now it's like I finally get to let go and move on."

James Cameron in Major A-Hole Dispute??
Posted Dec 24th 2009 12:35PM by TMZ Staff

James Cameron -- the guy who directed "Avatar" -- directed a few choice words at an autograph seeking fan last night -- calling the guy a "f**king a**hole" during an argument over a signature.

It all went down at LAX -- when James walked past a man holding an "Avatar" poster, and refused to sign. The man went back to Cameron and asked again to which James replied, "I don't owe you a f**king signature ... just get out of my f**king personal space."

That's when the fan lost it and replied, "I'm an asshole because I ask someone I admire for their autograph that makes me an a**hole? I make $15-an-hour at work to go see your film and I'm an a**hole?"

Ultimately, James calmly walked away from the situation while the fan continued to yell at him.

cant embed the damn video! See it at the SOUUURCE

What a doushe, other than that no comment. You at least could be nice to the guy. Although the fan didnt handle it well either. sigh.

Roger Ebert's Review of Nine - 2 Stars [Dec. 24th, 2009|03:23 pm]

My problem may be that I know Fellini's "8½" (1963) too well. Your problem may be that you don't know it well enough. Both of us may be asking, who exactly was "Nine" made for? This is a big-scale version of the 1982 Broadway production, which won the Tony Award as best musical. It's likely that most who saw it had either seen the Fellini film, or made that their business.

I didn't see it, but I'm sure it greatly benefitted from being live and right there onstage, where the energy in performance compensated for its lack of a single great song. All the songs sound exactly like standard boilerplate Broadway show tunes, except for composer Maury Yestin's "Finale," which evokes the original Nino Rota soundtrack for Fellini, which is the problem.

It's just like Entourage if it was about hipsters living in Brooklyn trying to make it in fashion. [Dec. 24th, 2009|05:14 pm]

[wesaucereyes]

If Kid Cudi's rapping career ever stalls, he can always work on his budding acting resume. After getting the axe from Lady Gaga's current tour and mistakenly handcuffed by Los Angeles police within the last week alone, on a more positive note, a trailer for the Ohio native's new show 'How to Make It in America,' has just been released. Although the snippet fails to show off Cudi's acting chops, perhaps the folks over at HBO wanted to build anticipation for the series, which will air on the cable network next year.

The show, which is produced by actor Mark Wahlberg, centers around young aspiring entrepreneurs living in Brooklyn and trying to break into the fashion industry to ultimately achieve the American Dream. Cudi plays the supporting roll of Domingo, a well-connected friend of the two main characters. 'How to Make It in America' is set to air February 2010.

The series will also star comedian Luis Guzmán and Eddie Kaye Thomas of American Pie fame. How To Make It In America is set to debut February 16th, 2010.

Joe McElderry is outselling X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole
Her second solo single, 3 Words, is expected to limp into the charts at No 8 after selling just 8,808 copies on Monday, reports The Sun.

Her debut single Fight For This Love became one of the biggest selling singles of the year after selling over 290,000 copies in its first week.
The track 3Words was released a week after Joe's single The Climb so that Cheryl would have a better chance at bagging the top spot.

But McElderry who lost out the coveted Christmas No 1 to Rage Against The Machine, is back on track to top the charts this weekend.
The Climb is now outselling RATM's Killing In The Name by two to one, selling 77,329 copies, according to early sales figures.

RATM sold 39,030 which should see them chart at No 2.

The American band set two new records with their chart win last week - for the first single to reach Christmas No 1 from purely download sales, and for the fastest selling download single ever.

They sold just over 500,000 copies last week after a Facebook campaign set up by Jon and Tracy Mortner, who were sick of X Factor winners dominating the Christmas charts.

'Repo Men' trailer: Jude Law Goes out for Blood...and Livers [Dec. 24th, 2009|01:42 pm]

ohnotheydidnt

[fishingvegas]
Universal has just released a red-band trailer for Repo Men, a sci-fi thriller starring Jude Law and Forest Whitaker slated for an April 2010 release.

Despite the similar title, Repo Men is not a remake of the director Alex Cox’s 1984 nihilistic sci-fi punk cult classic Repo Man. Its premise, though — in a dystopian future, a sinister megacorporation dispenses new organs to needy patients at exorbitant prices, then sends out repo men to reclaim them when they default on their payments — does bear a certain resemblance to Repo! The Genetic Opera, the campy, gory 2008 rock-opera musical that earned Paris Hilton a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actress and grossed (in more senses than one) a paltry $188,127.

That, in itself, may not bode well. But based on this trailer, Repo Men actually looks like it has potential to be pretty fun, in a gruesome, bloodsoaked way, with a darkly comic, satirical edge that harks back to movies like Robocop and Total Recall.

Take a look and tell us what you think. (Note: For those of you poor stiffs stuck working on Christmas Eve, it’s NSFW.) Does the idea of Jude Law as a badass futuristic repo man slicing out some dude’s pancreas appeal to you, or is his rather more genteel turn as Dr. Watson in Sherlock Holmes more your speed?

James Cameron Advances Avatar Oscar Campaign For Zoe Saldana [Dec. 24th, 2009|02:55 pm]

ohnotheydidnt

[jesustolemybike]

It seemed reasonable enough last week to deduce Jim Cameron’s motivations behind issuing a new Avatar set photo of Zoe Saldana — head-rigged, mo-capped and mewling in character as Na’vi princess Neytiri. Beyond its basic, “here’s how we did it” purpose, the photo seemed also to suggest that CGI is only as effective as the flesh-and-blood performance underneath it. Saldana’s own performance is pretty strong, and in a new conversation with his fellow Oscar-winning visionary Peter Jackson, Cameron won’t let you — or the Academy, if its members are listening — forget it.

And of course the Academy is listening. The actors’ branch amounts to the majority of its membership, and a vote for a performance-captured Saldana can ultimately be perceived as an endorsement of these roles — not to mention the salaries they might command on films by Cameron, Jackson, Steven Spielberg and their high-concept contemporaries. But! One thing at a time: First of all, both Cameron and Jackson say, relax. Actors aren’t going anywhere. Then comes the Saldana Factor, with all the Cameronesque slyness, persuasion and hubris we’ve come to know and love:

"We couldn’t accomplish the character we’re doing in Avatar through any kind of makeup means. That’s been explored for 30 years of Star Trek and Star Wars. But I think the thing I hope that the media can convey to audiences is that this is an actor-driven process. Neytiri, in my film, for example—she is what Zoe [Saldana] created 100 percent. Initially I thought we want to keep the technique under wraps. We don’t want to pull the curtain aside and show people how we’ve done this; we just want to show you my magic. But I’ve recently changed my tune. I want people to see a side-by-side image of Neytiri in a scene and Zoe doing the scene, so they understand that it’s a physical and facial performance. Zoe took months of training at archery and martial arts, so she could move a certain way and have a certain grace. It’s something she created that just translated to her character."

the only non technical award this movie should win is for zoe's performance imo. girl was fantastic!

Interview Magazine: 20 Most Beautiful People of the Decade [Dec. 24th, 2009|02:48 pm]

In a decade when it has become daily ritual to witness our most famous, talented, and beautiful people in their gym sweats and flip flops at Starbucks, unaware of the long-lensed sniper in the bushes capturing them in exactly the angle of light and time of day that is maximally unflattering, we thought it'd be fitting to end the '00s with a glorious, glamorous look back at the 20 most beautiful people that have graced the pages of our magazine in the past 10 years. Sure, in an ideal world beauty would be nakedly apparent. But it doesn't hurt to have makeup, hair, wardrobe, and a talented, sympathetic photographer. And, in the tradition of this magazine, we encouraged them to speak freely—because the beautiful and famous are just dying to tell you something you didn't know about them.

Mike Myers To Be The Voice Of Marvin The Martian

It was announced last year that a CG/live-action movie based on the popular Looney Tunes character Marvin the Martian was on its way to becoming a reality. At the time, the project was still in the very early stages of development, with no writer or director attached, but now this week we have an update courtesy of the L.A. Times. Apparently the movie is still happening, with Warner Brothers and producer Alcon Entertainment eyeing a Christmas 2011 release date.

The holiday release date is essential since the story revolves around Marvin the Martian coming to Earth to destroy Christmas. No word on whether or not any other Looney Tunes characters will be involved (I'm hoping his loyal dog K-9 will at least have a part), but they have named Alex Zamm (Chairman of the Board, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2) as the director. Oh good. The script will be written by Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove (Spin City, Just Shoot Me). No actors have signed on as of yet, but apparently Mike Myers is a possibility. Let's just hope this turns out better than The Cat in the Hat. What do you think, are you interested in a Marvin the Martian movie, or would you rather just see Space Jam 2?

http://www.moviefill.com/Mike-Myers-To-Be-The-Voice-Of-Marvin-The-Martianbr--19858/

---

Ok I wanna point out a few things.

- The article's title is taken from the site. It says he WILL be the voice.

- The task bar thing, when at the article is a little more vague

- Going to the site's source (the LA Times Blog,) it says that Mike Myers is just one name that has come up of many who have been talked to by the producers. And the film itself has only just gotten writers.

- Another source the moviefill site sources is This one which announces the movie back in July 2008.

I just like how it went from "we might talk to mike myers" to "mike myers is doing this" in just a few rewrites lol.

SARAH HARDING WANTS
TO BE NEXT 'BOND GIRL'.

After the girl-band decided to take a break from music, Sarah plunged into acting.

She recently starred as a schoolgirl alongside Rupert Everett and David Tennant St Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold but is now aiming higher.

The leggy blond says she needs to work on her skills but would love to do some 'action stuff', Star Magazine reported.

"I'd be good as the kind of character that Grace Jones played in 'A View to a Kill' – a bad Bond girl!

"I don't see myself doing the glamour stuff. I'm kind of edgier", she said.

Despite her bandmate Cheryl gaining chart success as a solo artist and winning over the nation as an X Factor judge, Harding says she proud, not jealous.

"We all took this break and you don't do that without having an action plan. And that's what Cheryl's plan was."

Kanye West on Artists Selling Their Soul…

Kanye West emerged earlier this week at a Kid Cudi show and spit a freestyle that has gotten the “illuminati” theorists riled up. He told the crowd:

“I had to get up out this motherf*cker for a second. I love the game so much and I’m so passionate about it that I just can’t take this sh*t sometimes. And if they take everything away from me it wouldn’t f*cking matter. Artist are too concerned about their well-being sometimes, Artist be too scared to stand-up for something, they scared to loose their house, they scared to loose they record deal.”

He then went into the first few bars of his freestyle:

“I sold my soul to the devil, I know its a crappy deal, it came with a few toys like a happy meal. I’m spaced out god, I be on that moon talk, I wonder if God ask Mike how to moon walk…”

That first line isn’t gonna do anything to dispel all those rumors going around about the “Run This Town” video and its alleged connection with the occult.

Updated to say: Now that I think about this a little more, maybe he does feel like he sold his soul in a way. I remember he mentioned in an interview that he blamed himself for his mom’s death. He could possibly feel like his fame was the trade off.

“I feel like I moved to California, then my mom moved to California, and she did stuff she wouldn’t have done if we’d stayed in Chicago. If I’d never made it in the music business, it never would’ve happened.”
